Why do some women wear blush where they don't naturally blush? i.e. the cheek contour. It looks so silly.?
B/c some women haven't been taught how to properly put on make up. I always smile in the mirror, and put blush on where I would normally blush. (underneath my eyes)Why do some women wear blush where they don't naturally blush? i.e. the cheek contour. It looks so silly.?

some women are naturally pale and somewhat ';dead'; looking. not really dead, but no color and such. they usually use a lil bit of blush to add a bit of color to their face. it brings life to the face. kinda. also, when used well, it can also be used to shape the face.
Its what thier mother did noone uses blush anymore. Try using the glitters its so much more fun
Because they're using it to try to contour their face and accentuate their cheekbones. It's actually not an unusual practice and if it looks that bad they're probably using a color that isn't right for them.

It's so funny you say that cause I know a lady that wears it like a clown on her cheeks (pink circles) and ON HER NOSE and a little on her forehead! You can't stop looking at her nose when she's talking to you! She's a bit on the caramel side so I don't know why she worries about blush so much....she's not a pale shade! The other day we went to a museaum and couldn't help laughing at a woman who was very pale and she had dark pink blush. She looked so funny! She was very old, poor lady! You can't help but wonder if they put their make-up on in the dark or without a mirror....or both for that matter!

Well blush was used to add clour, but now it is used to give form or hide parts you don't want seen. It's a bit like panting. It's adding effects. But i must agree that some people over do it.

I know theres Thrrrob, Georgia, Dallas, 10, Coralista, Dandelion, and Hoola...
What would you recommend?
[if its any help, my skin color is around medium-ish... with sorta yellowness...]
Also BeneTint or PosieTint?
[would it be better on lips or cheeks too?]

I love Benefit blush - it's my favorite blush brand. They look natural, stay on for a lo-o-ong time and have the right amount of shimmer. Plus the packaging is so cute! I think Coralista or Dandelion would be good for your skin color. Dandelion is good on absolutely all skin colors, a neutral, beautiful pink. Coralista is a litttle more peach-y and very pretty too. Thrrrob is a much rosier pink and may look a little too contrasty on your face. So... my answer would be DANDELION to start out with, for a luminizing glow. Then if you want to expand your collection, add Coralista.
Benetint can be very scary when your first start using it, it is very strongly pigmented. PosieTint is better if you're just starting out with stains. I only use stains for special occasion when I need the long lasting color or for going swimming etc. It's a pain to get off, but I love the effect. If you want the same natural, non-opaque look that a stain gives without the staying, I recommend something like O-glow, the blush gel from Smashbox.BENEfit Blush Question?

haha I don't like Dallas that much, its more like a bronzy color....
and the tints are a bit messy, it's better to use those on your lips than on your cheeks, because you have to be really expert to apply it to your cheeks.

BeneFit products are great. I honestly can't think of one Benefit product that I have been disappointed with.

I blush very badly?
I am very smart but my blushing keeps me from preforming to my fullest ability. I cant do reports in front of the class because i get laughed at and humiliated. I cant stand my life in school because of it. I cant even talk to girls because of it and everybody thinks i am gay. You'll never buy a crappy blush. All ingredients are similar and just sometimes one or two ingredients off. But it's not like you know what their purpose is there for..do you?

For a cheaper alternative Jane is fantastic. They make these mineral pillow blushes that look quilted. The colours are soft and go on like a dream. Best of all I think I paid only like $6 for each of them.

Everytime I talk to/see the guy I like, I get all red and stuff and nervous. %26amp; he noticed it too! The thing is, we both like eachother and the only thing stopping us from going out.... is me being soo scared. I have no idea what to do, I just want to be able to say ';hey! what's up blah blah'; when i see him in the hallway without lookin stupid.
